yeah. Um. Let’s see. About 30 minutes after my last post I started contracting and cramping again and had to lay down for another two days.
Got our financing in order only to have the market continue to tank taking our down payment with it.
And the person we are trying to buy the house from decided that he is not willing to negotiate the price because “other houses where selling in the neighborhood last year for more then this.”
Yes. That was last year.
DaddyO is still trying to figure out how to swing it financially and asked if I would consider going back to work in the tech industry. Um. WHO is going to hire someone who is 18 weeks pregnant, has been out of the work force (very hapily I might add) for 7 years and plans on leaving it again in a couple months.
And WHY would I want to give up the two businesses I’ve worked my ass off to create. I can see giving up the artsy one (that I love) that doesn’t make much money, but working as a Mistress, after spending 15 years building up a reputation, is WAY more rewarding, emotionally and financially then sitting behind some desk listening to some snot nose marketing person ask me to move something a couple pixels to the left. Not to mention the hours are WAY shorter and I’m NOT willing to have someone else raise my child again. And under his new budget, no room for another round of IVF to try again for a baby brother of sister for the belly monkey.
*sigh*
At least McCains standings in the upcoming vote seem to have tanked along with the market. I had planned on donating some of that money to the Obama campaign, but I guess it’s all differant means to the same end.
Looking at a house to rent this afternoon. Perhaps, we could rent for another year, continue to save for our down payment, and let the stock market restore some of our lost investiments. Plus it’s a rental in the new community we are thinking of buying in, so, if we deside we don’t like it, we can just move, and not have to worry about selling the house that we over payed for. I’m not all that optimistic though. DaddyO has a set idea of what he wants to his next house to be like, and I seriously doupt this one will measure up – although it does have a pool and is ok with a dog. Or in our case, a dogette.
